On our trip home from Hilton Head, we stopped overnight in Richmond.
Sally suggested we go to the VMVA and see their Faberge egg collection. On arrival, however, we learned that the collection was visiting China in return for the collection of art and antiquities from the Forbidden City. We have already seen much of the treasures in the Forbidden City so we skipped it.
However, we were very lucky to be there for the final day of an exhibit juxtaposing flower arrangements from various Virginia Flower Clubs with some of the pieces from their permanent collection.
