An historic lighthouse at Cape Elizabeth, ME on the primary shipping channel for Portland Harbor. The lighthouse was originally built under a directive of George Washington and was first put into operation on January 10, 1791. It is a favorite tourist spot and is within the grounds of Fort Williams Park.
